Terms of Service

Last updated: April 20, 2026

These terms govern your use of Grantd (“the service,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What Grantd does

Grantd is a funding desk for nonprofit organizations. It helps you search a sourced public grant index, save a short docket, and draft applications. We are not a grant maker, and we do not guarantee funding.

Every program we surface has its own eligibility rules, application process, and decision timeline controlled by the funder, not by us. Accuracy of third-party program data is best-effort and depends on the source. An individual edition is on a waitlist and is not part of this service today.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter a contract. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Free trials, when offered, convert to the paid plan on the trial end date unless you cancel first. You will not be charged during the trial. The billing page shows when the trial ends.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes. Stripe calculates and collects sales tax where required.
  • Failed payments: if we can't charge your card, we'll retry according to Stripe's default schedule. Your subscription will move to “past due” and features will downgrade to the free tier until payment is resolved.

Refunds

Monthly plans: not refundable. Cancel any time to stop future charges.

Annual plans: if you cancel within 14 days of a new annual subscription or renewal, email support@grantd.fund and we'll refund the remaining unused term on a pro-rata basis. After 14 days, annual fees are non-refundable.

We may issue refunds outside these terms at our discretion (service outages, duplicate charges, mistakes we made).

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • Scrape, bulk-export, or re-sell our index of programs.
  • Submit false or misleading information in applications we help you draft.
  • Use the service to engage in fraud, misrepresent your identity or your organization, or circumvent a funder's eligibility rules.
  • Attempt to break authentication, rate limits, or RLS.

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

Your content

You own what you write (application drafts, organization profiles, notes). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you — including passing it through our AI helper when you choose to use those features.

AI-assisted features

Grantd uses large language models to help draft application text and, when you ask, a risk note. AI output is a draft, not advice. Verify every fact, eligibility rule, and deadline against the original source before submitting.

When you use those features, we may send your prompts and relevant workspace context to Google's Gemini API so the service can generate a response. Handling of that data is governed by Google's applicable terms and policies. See our Privacy Policy for specifics.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information we surface will be complete or accurate at any given moment.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We're not liable for missed grants, rejected applications, or funding decisions made by third-party funders.

Termination

Settings does not currently include a self-serve delete or data-export control. Email support@grantd.fund to close an account or request a copy of your workspace data. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible. On termination, email support within 30 days if you need an export; we then delete the data.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will email account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.
