Terms of Service
Last updated: April 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of Grantd (“the service,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What Grantd does
Grantd finds and surfaces grant, aid, and assistance programs that may match your situation, and helps you manage the application process. We are a matching and workflow tool — we are not a grant maker, and we do not guarantee that you will be awarded any funding.
Every program we surface has its own eligibility rules, application process, and decision timeline controlled by the funder, not by us. Accuracy of third-party program data is best-effort and depends on the source.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter a contract. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Free trials, when offered, convert to the paid plan on the trial end date unless you cancel first. You won't be charged during the trial; you'll receive a reminder email before it ends.
- Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes. Stripe calculates and collects sales tax where required.
- Failed payments: if we can't charge your card, we'll retry according to Stripe's default schedule. Your subscription will move to “past due” and features will downgrade to the free tier until payment is resolved.
Refunds
Monthly plans: not refundable. Cancel any time to stop future charges.
Annual plans: if you cancel within 14 days of a new annual subscription or renewal, email support@grantd.fund and we'll refund the remaining unused term on a pro-rata basis. After 14 days, annual fees are non-refundable.
We may issue refunds outside these terms at our discretion (service outages, duplicate charges, mistakes we made).
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Scrape, bulk-export, or re-sell our index of programs.
- Submit false or misleading information in applications we help you draft.
- Use the service to engage in fraud, misrepresent your identity or your organization, or circumvent a funder's eligibility rules.
- Attempt to break authentication, rate limits, or RLS.
Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
Your content
You own what you write (application drafts, organization profiles, notes). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you — including passing it through our AI helper when you choose to use those features.
AI-assisted features
Grantd uses large language models to match programs and to help you draft applications. AI output is a draft, not advice. Verify every fact, eligibility rule, and deadline against the original source before submitting.
When you use those features, we may send your prompts and relevant workspace context to Google's Gemini API so the service can generate a response. Handling of that data is governed by Google's applicable terms and policies. See our Privacy Policy for specifics.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information we surface will be complete or accurate at any given moment.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We're not liable for missed grants, rejected applications, or funding decisions made by third-party funders.
Termination
You can delete your account any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible. On termination, we'll provide a data export on request for 30 days, then delete your data.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll email active subscribers at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.
